I disagree that it'll have a marginal effect. It'll connect Battlefield to the high quality cycle route in Govanhill, and by extension the rest of the city network. By extending the separated lanes south along Grange Road and Battlefield Avenue you make cycling a viable option for hundreds and hundreds of households that live in streets running off those roads.
