I think it's pretty easy to extrapolate that people would find being in the city centre more pleasant if there was less traffic going through it. That wasn't exactly hard to understand, there's a reason Buchanan Street is doing so well in comparison to a lot of other city centre shopping streets, turns out people don't particularly enjoy walking next to cars and inhaling fumes whilst out walking. |
