Been mwi plenty of times. Not once did potholes or train announcements factor into what method of transport I take up the road. Nor have I ever had difficulty navigating my way up the road.
It’s nothing to do with disagreeing with you. People are not going to use trains to get up the road if it doesn’t take them where they need to go. For your personal circumstance maybe the train is great.
The demand for taxis and the low demand for night buses suggest the priority for most late night passengers are speed and convenience.
It’s a moot point anyway. Railways are a major logistical operation. London with 8m+ residents doesn’t have interurban heavy rail through the night. The demand is not there for it to be viable in the West of Scotland. |
