Is the cat now legally yours, or still hers?

If hers, then shouldn't she be the one applying for help? Or, at least, calling the PDSA, Cats Protection, RSPCA/SSPCA and explaining the situation?

If yours, and you can't cope (understandable given current situation), then is there anyone else who maybe could? Can your friend provide any support (guessing at "No", but it's worthwhile checking).

You could trying buying food via TopCashback/Quidco if they offer good deals. Or try cheaper food from Aldi/Lidl/Etc, but I know cats can be rather fussy at times.

Depending on *what* meds, you might be able to get them cheaper from the likes of Viovet, or Zooplus (we use them on the regular to bulk buy as it works out cheaper, they also have a generous points system).

Your vet *might* be able to help directly, or put you in touch with people who can.
