I know it's not exactly what you asked but I use Spotify a lot to find out who is playing in Glasgow. It knows who I listen to and makes recommendations.
(On Desktop) Go to Browse > Live Events and you can pick your city and it'll have 'Recommended for you' and 'Popular events'
