Honestly you’d think critical reading skills weren’t offered in schools.

There’s folk I grew up with trying to move to Spain because of this new world order/15 minute neighbourhood madness.

15 minute neighbourhood is not a new concept. East Kilbride was built on those principles (and that’s why it was the most successful of the new towns until East Kilbride District Corporation was disbanded). The new build estates with no amenities out of town have always been moaned about for their lack of public transport links/ access to schools/ local drs etc as they create reliance on cars.

This is not a big scary thing. It’s actively trying to improve lived experience and create communities.
