| Comment | Students are exempt from Council Tax because if didn't have legal exemption, but we're on low income, they would be eligible for Housing Benefit. Which most would be because loans are not taxable (it's not your money at the end of the day - this goes for any kind of loan).
Students not paying Council Tax is a trade-off fir not getting Housing Benefit. |
