I happened to be on cathedral street for the first time in about 15 years and the state of the Oakley building made me genuinely sad. I really hope it gets refurbished as it seems like it’s rotting away. Has some nice memories of that building and the other college buildings on cathedral street during the mid 00s. I went to the old food tech (was called the Met at the time).
The shiny new college looks brilliant but it’s sad that the neighbouring building have been left abandoned. I had heard that GSA was planning to use the Oakley Building as a temp base after the Mac burnt down but there is a major issue with the windows apparently. |
