I lived in and around Govanhill for many years.
Parts are OK (towards Queens Park, e.g. Dixon Avenue). West of Victoria Road is OK too, although that is *technically* Strathbungo.
If you want a bit of a Bohemian vibe, artists are moving due to the cheap property and Govanhill Housing Association is hard at it, go for it but the place does have issues and you should have a mooch about first.
