You've got to laugh that you all believe the hype when you've got council vans being told to go a drive to waste time and to get out of the eyes of the public, burning a shit load of fuel but aye let's all pretend that we care about the environment and that it's not just a scheme to make profit and to keep you distracted/segregated from each other. Bigger fish to fry like the huge homeless community and the ever soaring gas and electric costs. But let's all focus on wee Susan who struggles to put fuel in her 20 year old fiesta. Let's get that scrapped, put in the dirt and sell her a brand new Tesla. The logic there 👏. I'd be more concerned about the replace culture that's going in. What ever happened to buy once and repair? Now you've got car bumpers being shoved in land fills in the masses. Your home appliances that are now replaceable rather than fixable. Everything is being sold with a short life on it so that you keep consuming. We ain't gonna talk about the amount of pollution and environmental damage caused by that naw? What about wear once and dispose clothes? What about people buying shit they don't need just because they're doing some retail therapy? Forgetting that those factories producing those goods are making more pollution than wee Susan's car? How about electric batteries being produced creating a shit load of emissions? Or what happens to them when they're at the end of their live? I see we only care about things when it's highlighted by the media. Yeah it's good that were trying to make change, but we're going about it all wrong. And you shouldn't need to be told what to do to change your ways. For god sakes whenever I go camping or a walk, I'm coming back with a bag or two of other folks rubbish. That's more effort than stopping Susan driving her car to work. At least I'm actively saving small animals from being caught up in people's rubbish and dying.
