| Comment | You say it only matters to a small group but within most people's circles they have friends and/or family who are part of the LGBTQ+ community. Never mind the countless people who seek to support these groups regardless of their own sexuality or gender on the principle that standing up for others is a decent thing to do.
I'd suggest that makes it matter to a great many more people than you suspect.
