Comment | When first bus receive a complaint from a councillor they know fine well from the comms that the councillor doesn’t have a scooby. Last complaint in the papers from a councillor was them complaining they had to wait an hour for a bus in a place the bus didn’t even serve. Total own goal.
Sometimes they will give them a meeting with a middle manager, or have a joint community group session with councillor and residents. This simply strokes the councillors ego and makes them feel important. In end First Bus will continue to do what they want until the traffic commissioner has to step in. Services not commercially viable will need to be propped up by SPT. |
