that's benefit of hindsight to a certain extent - one of the early issues was we didn't know what the risk of covid was to pregnancies/newborns, as some early data showed a link between Covid and stillbirths - and guidance was for pregnant mothers to isolate as much as possible - it wasn't til mid-2020ish there was enough data to determine it to be relatively low risk

so back around lockdown 1 we were definitely still operating under the precautionary principle
