Yeah but in the UK minimum wage isn't that much anymore. I'm not saying you have to tip; but if you proport that you don't have to on the grounds that you supposedly "care" about the wages the staff get then that's really just an excuse.
If you're a tory just be honest about it.
I think everyone should get more money honestly, so if I am personally making work for someone by having them bring me drinks, and I can afford it, then I will \*personally\* pay them a bit more.
Like its still a personal choice of course but you dont get to pretend you dont tip because its somehow good for the staff.
Part of why you work service and put up with the absolute bullshit of a large portion of the public is because of the extra tip money. |
