Its funny you accuse me of not living in the real world because there's something you're missing. Theres actually another category of people who work in service and thats people who don't have a choice and didn't get a good enough start to be doing anything else.
Yeah people *shouldn't* be if they structured their lives better but I know a lot of people personally who do. Divorcee mothers, mentally unwell people, folks who ran away from abusive homes, illiterate folks, folks who just made poor life choices (like going to art school) ((like I did.)) Ive worked with people in these positions when I did work service and I am lucky enough to be in a position where I can pursue another career but lots of folks aren't.
Its funny you mentioned communism because the argument you're using to suggest that minimum wage is in any way fair is a fairly libertarian one. "Oh you're trying to get fair pay from a shitty job; why don't you just have a better career"
