| Comment | A lot of misinformation here in the comments. Phone the council and ask them to put you on a repayment plan and to set up ur direct debit for council tax moving forward. No need to contact the debt recovery people. If you know you’re going to struggle paying your council tax future payments, tell them. You may be entitled to a discount or benefits.
