There's also [freecycle.org](https://www.freecycle.org) which /u/malstroem did not mention, and for borrowing, there's a really cool group which focuses on tools specifically called the [Glasgow Tool Library](https://glasgowtoollibrary.com/), which I like to give a shoutout to whenever I can :)
