| Comment | Keeping cars out of the cycle lane is not about manpower, you need to do it properly in first place. It's a well known fact that cars **will** park in the cycle lane if you don't put some sort of physical separation between the lane and the road. Just painting the floor and hoping for the best won't cut it.
Any new cycle lane built without any measure to physically keep the cars out of the cycle lane is a waste of money, and a danger to cyclists (swerving in and out of the cycle lane because of the parked cars: not fun). |
