I've found the opposite, it's completely changed the way I behave when I want to cross, I can really see when I go back to my home town that drivers are mildly confused/annoyed when I don't cross when there's (from their perspective) plenty of time to cross and I don't, because I expect them to not see me, ignore me, or speed up.
Same thing when I'm cycling, the hostility and impatience is palpable, when I first started cycling here it was fucking terrifying (still is sometimes). |
