Actual scottish people in the streets of the city, instead of relegated to surrounding demilitarised zones/estates. Not that Glasgow doesn't have estates but there's still normal scots living in the city - even the gentrified bits.

And I don't know if it was just my bad luck, but the couple of times I've been in Edinburgh after 8pm in the evening (out of festival season) there was *nothing* fucking open. Nothing. I couldn't find a wee shop or anything like that to get cigs/snacks.
