| Comment | Running is v popular these days, to the point of most races of the common distances (10k & HM, 5k not so much thanks to Parkrun) selling out or coming close to it, especially in big cities. Lesson for future ones, the sooner you enter the better. Really popular races will have tiers of pricing based on how early you enter, i.e. the earlier the cheaper; and really really popular ones (London marathon and such) do a lottery, where you pretty much have to sign up within minutes of the entries opening and even then you're not guaranteed a place (unless you're really fast or raise a shit load of money for charity)
If you want to do the Half marathon you can have my place, I can't really be arsed with it. Though I put my estimated time as under 1hr20mins so you might get put at the front at the start |
