| Comment | You're spot on and it's a direct consequence of 40 years of successive governments that have done the minimal in terms of investing properly in local government and public services, which is why we are now in a situation where almost nothing in this country works properly.
What we need is a political party to emerge that will prioritise spending and actually invest in the country where as the reality is, next years election will lead to a Labour government who have embodied all the 'fiscal responsibility' rhetoric spewed out by the Tories in the last 40 years and therefore, nothing will change. |
