| Comment | Here's my random selection of takes as a cyclist of some years.
\- The ding-ding is from people riding bikes on the pavement which they shouldn't be.
\- If you're reasonably fit it's perfectly possible to ride a bike safely on the road in Glasgow IF you take it seriously as a road user. If on the other hand you're pootling about like you did when you were 10, you'll have (and cause) problems.
\- Much of the infrastructure is unusable due to lack of upkeep or being ignored by others. Cars parking in bike lanes for example. A lot of it also encourages bad/dangerous practice like filtering up the side of queued traffic. |
