People have lost over less, when my mum sold her little cottage out on the islands she actually turned down an offer that was £1500 over her other bid.

Buyer was an absolute tosser who was really rude to her before his viewing (holiday home buyer, took a reccy about the place the day before he viewed, mistook my mum for the gardener & started critiquing the garden & stuff he’d want done better “when” he bought the place, my mum loved her garden).

The person she sold it too was a local-ish woman who was downsizing after her kids left.

I think she told the estate agent why she was turning down that offer, not sure if it’s something they’d communicate across though, must be a kick in the teeth seeing someone took a lower bid though. 😂
