| Comment | Yup, I remember my lawyer giving me her personal number as they had no facilities for working from home when it all kicked off.
When she put my offer in she was pretty up front that she had no clue how things where going to operate, as the land registry had entirely shut and furloughed all their staff (they still operate like it’s the 1970s, everything on paper).
I was fortunate enough that even if furloughed I’d have more than enough income to cover my mortgage, was happy I just pushed ahead, was working in the 3rd sector for building control at the time so couldn’t see my job disappearing even in the most apocalyptic of circumstances. Ultimately we ended up being busier than we’d ever been over that summer as every cunt wanted kitchen extensions! |
