| Comment | Sorry this is a comment from a year ago so just getting up to speed - I've only mentioned Ghanaian and Ethiopian foodn in this comment but in a separate comment I was simply giving examples of distinctive African cuisine - of course there are plenty more great ones. Most people (me included, for many) don't get to try them all sadly.
I was in Ghana for two months and did find it more simple, but not necessarily bad! Jollof rice was great, food was hearty. I think I was primarily staying in smaller communities so they did not have access to the really really delicious things, just the basic staples that was more simplistic.
