Comment | The LGBTQ+ community reclaimed the word and some choose to use it as they may identify with more than one part of the community (eg bisexual trans person), or they may not like saying “LGBTQ+” as it’s not easy to say, and not matter how many letters there are, some part of the community is always excluded.
It’s fine to use if you identify as queer. I think non-queer folk generally don’t like using it, and probably shouldn’t if they don’t feel confident that they aren’t offending anyone.
