| Comment | I guess I'm the only person who thinks this is a bit of a shame.
E-scooters could solve so many of our transport issues if they were allowed to be used in some way. Maybe not as the main mode of commuting, and they're not for everyone, but they could help connect people to other modes of transport for longer journeys. Turning a 20 min walk into a 5 min ride to a bus or train station. And you can fold it up and pack it away. Can't do that with a bike so easily.
They take up hardly any space, so would help with getting cars off the road and easing congestion for people that do need to drive.
I just can't get my head around the point-blank refusal to find a way for them to work as part of the transport mix on our roads. |
