| Comment | When I was in P7 we had an exchange teacher from Perth, Australia. He was such a gentle giant. He had a long, grey beard, played acoustic guitar in class, and gently pleaded "people, people" in his soft, Aussie timbre when we were acting up.
I remember once when he addressed us in assembly, waxing lyrical of the wondrous thing that is the playpiece. We never thought Australian kids wouldn't call it that. It turns out they didn't have any name for their playtime snack. He just found it so lovely that we have a term for such a beloved part of school life.
