| Comment | I totally understand people being unsure and having questions, all services are cut to the bone right now, which is another fight we all should be backing, but it’s circumstances like this that the right wing try to capitalise on and stoke up fear and resentment. Look at 1930s Germany, totally crippled by reparations, people were hurting and they were angry. Then a charismatic leader comes along and channels that anger into something productive, they can do something about it! And the rest is history. We have to be really careful not to let that happen again. Literally the whole meaning of “lest we forget”. |
