| Comment | In Germany there are machines in a lot of shops you can go to dump plastic bottles. You get 25c back for every bottle, think it's the same for glass.
Cleanest streets I've seen since while most people don't care and just chuck the bottle on the street or bin, the local homeless population would go around picking them up. I mean why not? It's free money.
You'd see carnivals and festivals there'd be homeless looking people going about with trolleys collecting the masses of recyclables.
Probably made some decent money off it too. At 25c a bottle I'd see some of them going about with easily 50 euros worth in the trolley. |
