Coving rebuilt, needs sanded back today to tidy it off. Luckily for me it's not too ornate.
With care the lathe and dab can often be removed leaving the cornicing in place, with little to no damage. Although obviously the depth of the insulated plasterboard would need to match.
You can also use high performance insulating wallpaper. Can't recall the name of it just now, sorry.
