Wild speculation on my part, but there was a huge rally of transphobes in George Square on Sunday. This statue isn't supposed to be a queer thing but it would be easy to construe it as such.
It would be crazy to imagine that some of the more facist folks up from Manchester specifically targeted the boys.. Right?
