Comment | It's got one of those [stupidly wide flaring bellmouth junction openings](https://www.google.com/maps/@55.8715567,-4.3024534,3a,75y,265.28h,82.19t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sr2vNCv2vB93kyUmUFYp84w!2e0!7i16384!8i8192) that invite drivers to turn without slowing down. Bad news if you're a pedestrian crossing the street or in a car travelling with right of way along the priority road.
Surprisingly few accidents listed for that junction on crashmap, but loads listed for the next junction up at Chancellor Street, which also has similar flaring junction openings.

It's typical of road design going back decades which favours traffic flow over pedestrian convenience or safety. Once you find out about this you can't help but see it everywhere you go.
There are so many streets across Glasgow that could do with junction width reductions. Some are insanely wide and make these look like nothing. |
