Used to live in Giffnock when with parents, so got fairly familiar with Shawlands being just up the road. Getting a permanent parking spot there is going to be rough. You can generally slip in when you're just going to the shops but long term it'll be a bother.
The main problem is it's an affluent area occupied largely by young professionals who can afford cars, combined with a high density of multi-story apartments meaning ground level space is a hot commodity. |
