| Comment | Just to confuse things though, there were actually three Bridgeton Stations in ye olde days.

On this map you can see Bridgeton Cross station (in blue) which is now the modern Bridgeton Station. There's also Bridgeton Cross (red), a high level station, sadly it's line is now mostly built over and the station building is now retail premises as you say.
And just to confuse things, near what's now Dalmarnock Station down the road, was Bridegton Station itself, at the junction of Mordaunt Street and London road. The remains of this high level line were demolished in 2009 to make way for redevelopment. |
