Calderglen Zoo is great. Only a small part of it is inside, but they have small monkeys, reptiles and lots of other small animals and birds. There is a good play park, cafe and picnic area. The whole place is pretty compact, and it’s only £1.85 for adults and 95p for kids. Free parking too.

The new Burrell Collection and The Hunterian Museum are also good - they have a good mix of exhibits. There are more animals and fossils at the Hunterian. Burrell is very family friendly; Hunterian maybe a bit less so, but it’s usually pretty quiet and the cloisters and rest of the uni grounds are nice to play in after.
