There is no enforcement, so people know they can get away with it.

I'm a driver (car and motorcycle), as well as a cyclist and a pedestrian, and everything you mention drives me up the wall. Can you add throwing litter out the window to the list as well.

The absolute worst (from an irritation, not safety viewpoint) is people who pull into a junction, stop, *and then signal*! ARSEHOLES! They know they are turning, they should be indicating on approach.

What would I do? More red light and average speed cameras (try to get the fines hypothecated for active travel improvements). More traffic wardens. More traffic police stops to pull people over and fine them or put them on mandatory training.

Also, driving tests to be resat every 10 years (to advanced level, you've had 10 years experience, you should be able to pass) with the Highway Code test retaken every 5.

The first is tricky, the last should be doable.

Minor point on SUVs, some people have mobility issues and getting in/out of those is easier. Their efficiency isn't *that* bad. So a Kia Sportage or something isn't an issue.

Not that that's any excuse for the massive shitheads in their Rangies or Discos.
