At the moment the capacity is about 1.5m tests per year and it’s already stretched. How do you propose we get to 9.5m tests a year.
Retesting every driver is lunacy and would cause havoc on the economy.
Rather than the investment it would require to retest every driver, we should be investing in proper policing, enforcement and deterrence. Drivers who are breaking the law with serious infractions should be retested.
The police traffic department has been decimated since 2014. Sometimes there has only been one unit to cover the whole Greater Glasgow division.
The initial test needs to be much harder to stop clowns getting a license in the first place when they can’t drive. |
