I agree, but in my experience bus drivers are almost always really safe/pedestrian aware. You can rely on their indicators, they avoid splashing pedestrians with puddles if they can and when I cycled I'd always much rather have had a bus behind me than a car or taxi. It fascinates me, the difference between two groups of people who drive all day for a living.
