Like it or not, the world revolves around transport and our country and cities have been built around transport. It's took us near enough 100 years to get to where we are, it's not a quick fix getting rid of cars from where businesses that need cars operate even if that is a city centre.
I hate cars and driving but it doesn't mean I'm some delusional muppet that blames cars / car drivers for everything even though without cars and car drivers we would all be fucked, yourself included. Someone posts a topic about 6 pedestrians being killed in 2 weeks and it's all finger wagging at car drivers and calling them death machines but then when someone points out that 2 of the 6 never involved a car (bus & bicycle) it's suddenly all... wait it's still finger wagging at car drivers. |
