I’ve done jury service a few times (even posted in this sub a few days ago about getting out of it too. I got out of it because I served last year and I shouldn’t be eligible for another 5 years)
They will ask you if there is any reason you should be excused either on the phone or in person when in court. They purposely call in more than is necessary incase I’d last minute excusals.
