Lots of the Indian/Chinese supermarkets will have vegan options but won't be pure vegan e.g. World Foods on Nithsdale St (warning: large butchery section - probably fails "vegan only" in an epic manner but the rest is grand).
Some supermarkets are less terrible these days for vegan choice, but you need to get to the big ones.
As a filthy meat eater I'm usually after tempeh, decent pulses, etc. If you are after something specific, it might not be on my radar.
