| Comment | It’s an option to reduce risk, rather than victim blaming. Just because the letter of the law puts the onus on the offending party, it doesn’t mean victims should not attempt to limit their risk. Since the highway code changed there is an increase in entitled dafties walking out into the road without even looking. Combine that with the amount of dafties that are being allowed to operate a motor vehicle, you have a recipe for disaster.
It’s like telling yer Mrs/sister/daughter not to walk home alone at night. In an ideal world they should be able to walk home alone at night risk free. The reality is that there is an abundance of beasts and creeps cutting about. |
