Couldn't disagree more.

The Squinty bridge and Clyde Tunnel are pure miles away from the centre of Govan.

Govan and Partick are two of the more densely patches of Glasgow. Govan less so, but loads of development is under way now and more planned for the next few years on brownfield land close to the cross. There's talk of some of the industrial sheds along Helen Street being converted into residential units at some stage too. So overall Govan will come to be one of the more densely populated parts of the city again, as it once was.

£20 million is next to nothing as infrastructure projects go. It's great bang for the buck, creating a direct walking and cycling route between these two neighbourhoods (Partick of course having far more amenities) long into the future.
