People say this all the time but I never see it backed up with any examples? Are you just complaining about the general run-down nature of things?
Cause we're 13 years into a programme of planned central funding austerity. I don't think it's fair to blame council officers for the state of things, unless of course you're talking about specific examples of incompetence.
The entire austerity agenda was a political masterstroke by Cameron & Osborne. It was always part of the plan that if you defund councils and local authorities, people will ultimately *blame* those local authorities for failures to provide services. |
