If you happen to be in the southside there's a wee farm type stall in the Shawlands Arcade weekdays/Sat til about 2:30pm which sells fruit, veg & eggs at very reasonable prices. Only shortage I noticed lately was parsnips! Definitely always has peppers as far at I've seen.
