| Comment | I always remember when I was in primary school (I'm 35 now, god I'm getting old lol) our teachers would always teach us the importance of putting rubbish in the bin and never to be a litterbug!
The janitor would watch out for weans littering the playground and make them pick it up and bin it.
I also remember we used to once a week or so spend an afternoon with a litter grabber (which we always thought was so cool for some reason lol) and we would go around the playground picking up bits of litter if there was any lying about.
I don't know if this is even still being done in schools anymore but if it isn't they should definitely bring it back. |
