I've had similarly good experiences there.

One night, I didn't directly mention it to the staff but they overheard me wishing my partner happy birthday. They brought out an amuse bouche, two glasses of some sort of fizzy wine and even after we said no thank you to desserts, plonked down some petit fours. Wasn't charged for any of those.

They put out a thing on FB saying they're not planning to close.
