I can't find the specific data very quickly regarding the alcohol related diseases and illness stats within the UK but as you can imagine it's probably a lot higher than the deaths per year figure.
If we decriminalised and regulated the drug market, criminal gangs controlling the drug market right now would be out of business in a matter of weeks.
It would also allow us to keep tabs, help and support addicts using drugs such as heroin, benzodiazepines and cocaine... because in order to get the drugs they need they need to go through government/medical facilities where they can be supported to come off the drugs they are addicted to. |
